Live from Quarantine
Luke Striffler “Ross” in FRIENDS! The Musical Parody was one of 3,000 entertainers who auditioned to participate in Live from Quarantine, a series of virtual performances to benefit performers impacted by COVID-19 shutdowns. The event was created by New York City based Table Top Broadway‘s Ian B. Connor to support artists suddenly unemployed by COVID-19’s abrupt shutdown of the live entertainment industry with the goal of helping 560 struggling artists, entertain 5,600 viewers, and raise $56,000 for the community.
The show features professional singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, actors, magicians, DJs and personalities from around the globe. In the first twelve events, Live from Quarantine has already raised $21,000 for its performers!
Luke’s performance will take place during the live benefit on Tuesday, May 12 at 5PM PT. He’s been performing in FRIENDS! The Musical Parody since its Vegas debut in October 2018, where he actively supports the Vegas entertainment community and local community.
Luke recently started an artistic outreach Facebook group for performers to unite and share gig information during COVID-19. The group has since grown 350 members who share projects, classes and resources for their entertainment peers. Through this group Luke was connected with Table Top Broadway’s Ian B. Connor who joined to connect performers with his virtual benefit.
